Crazysocks4docs Day is held every year on the first Friday of June. This day is the CrazySocks4Docs Foundation's flagship event, and is all about raising awareness of the mental health of all doctors and health practitioners around the world, and driving positive change via action! You can either join us for breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre or virtually if in rural/remote/interstate have a breakfast event at your workplace with everyone wear crazy socks, or in the comfort of your own home. Virtual and in-person participants are included in prize draws to win a copy of Dr Bravery's book!

Doctors across the Northern Territory check out if your local hospital may be doing an event, or you can hold your own breakfast with your staff at your workplace, were some brightly coloured clothing (as we know that socks may not be great with the NT weather!)!

This hybrid event has confirmed special guest to be Dr Ben Bravery:

Originally a zoologist and science communicator, Ben Bravery worked for the Australian and Chinese governments before being diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer at age twenty-eight. After undergoing eighteen months of cancer treatment, Ben decided on a career change. He became a doctor in 2018 and is now undertaking speciality training in psychiatry. Ben volunteers, advocates, writes and speaks about colorectal cancer, living with cancer, cancer in young adults, medicine and medical education, and is committed to advocating for change in Australia's healthcare system. His memoir, The Patient Doctor, was released in 2022.

Dr Geoff Toogood, Founder of the CrazySocks4Docs movement will be co-hosting with Dr Roger Sexton AM, Medical Director, Doctors' Health SA.

We have our fabulous MC, pk (Paul Kitching from Fuller Brands) back as well along with the teams from SASMOA and Doctors' Health SA.
