COVID-19 - Its mental health impacts, stress and coping for NT Doctors

NT Doctors can join for free an interactive webinar that will address the mental health impacts of pandemics, and coping strategies for stress and anxiety. Facilitated by Dr Cate Howell (Medical Practitioner, Therapist and Educator) and Dr Michele Murphy (Clinical Psychologist) – their bios are on the registration link. Participants will be provided with strategies such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist their patients and themselves as health providers.

Both facilitators have had extensive experience in delivering mental health education to doctors for over 30 years. The learning outcomes are:

• Describe the main mental health impacts of COVID19

• Define the symptoms and signs of stress and anxiety

• Recommend useful coping strategies for various population groups

• Design a personal wellbeing plan

• Describe appropriate community supports and resources
